April Showers...... Rock The Shot April.... "Water"

When I saw the theme for Rock the Shot's April contest was Water... I of course immediately thought of "April Showers bring May Flowers".....

Here's my take on April Showers......

This is just the first I am posting here of a gorgeous session I did with this theme!  This session featured this incredible 8 ft by 6 ft rainbow that was hand-made by my amazing set designer, Trisha Varney.  I explained my "vision" for the shoot & she went with it & created the perfect larger than life rainbow for me!  I just love it!

Little Princesses... *Tutu That Commerical Shoot.... South Florida Commercial Product Photographer

When Gaby from *Tutu That contacted me a few months ago about taking some promotional images for them, I was interested at first because tutus are fun and I have two little girls who LOVE being princesses.... then when I checked out her website and facebok page, I fell in LOVE with the company.  I mean, adorable, quality tutus that also stand up for girl power & help to make a difference.... PERFECT!

This shoot would not have happened without two great friends of mine.... Tristine Davis of T Davis Images who supplied this awesome turquoise couch & helped shoot the session with me and my amazing set designer, Trisha Varney Photography Designs.

5 day old Mr. M... Palm Beach Newborn Photographer

One of the greatest joys of my job is getting to watch families grow & change.  I love when clients choose me again and again to continue to document their families' growth.  One of these families is the fabulous W family.... I first met them almost 2 years ago for X's newborn photos.... and then got to see them several times over the past two years.... here, and here, and here.... and earlier this week I was so excited to see them again to help welcome the newest member of the family... baby M.  Sweet Baby M was the perfect newborn model for me!  He slept the entire time & pretty much let me and my friend Tristine (from T Davis Images) pose him however we wanted.  I also LOVED capturing some shots of M with his adorable big brother!

Kristi Mangan Photography + BabyRAW + adorable 10 day old twins = FUN!!!

Last week I had the awesome opportunity to co-shoot a newborn twin session with the super-talented ladies of the BabyRAW team.  Since I am a "studio" newborn shooter typically, Brooke & Keila were nice enough to induldge me with being able to start off the session with some natural light studio shots of these adorable baby boys!  I loved working alongside Keila when were were posing these little guys.... they were so sweet & we were able to keep them pretty happy while we posed them.  Although I usually shoot with studio lighting, I enjoyed the challenge of natural light and I loved the beautiful shadows it created for these studio-style shots! 

After some fun indoors.... I ventured into the great outdoors with the nature girls.  It was so neat to see how these two (plus Robyn) worked their magic with their amazing natural out-door shots.  Brooke is incredible at "seeing" & finding the perfect spots.... Keila is amazing at posing the babies just right.... and Robyn is so helpful in doing whatever is necessary to help get the perfect shot!  I loved working alongside these talented women!    Here are some of the outdoor images we captured....

And in true Baby-RAW fashion.... a blog post isn't complete without some fun behind-the-scenes shots.  I just love how Brooke & Keila always post amazing behind-the-scenes images from their sessions... so I was inspired to capture some behind-the-scenes fun at this session!!!

Sweet & Sassy Miss A.... Palm Beach "tween" photographer

It was so much fun working with A for some fun "tween" photos to show off her fabulous personality!!!  We had a blast exploring all of the fun nooks & crannies at Downtown at the Gardens.  This was the perfect place for a tween shoot!

Super Smiley 7-month old Mr. K at the farm.... Palm Beach Baby Photographer

It was great seeing Mr. K again for his 6/7 month session in his grow-with-me plan.  He was just as cute as I remember him from his newborn session last August.  For K's session we got to explore the farm & he just LOVED it.  He was super smiley for me and had a blast hamming it up for the camera!  The only time he'd lose focus is when he would hear or see a tractor or truck drive by.... he watched those like a hawk!  THANKS so much to the Y family for choosing me to capture this year of K's life... I am really enjoying it!!!  Here are a few of my favorites from our farm session!!

 

Matilda Jane CHICKS! Palm Beach Childrens Photographer

Wow.... anyone who knows me, knows I have a major shopping addiciton to Matilda Jane Clothing.  I find their clothing second to none in terms of quality & cuteness.  Their outfits are the perfect portriat clothing in my opinion because the mix of colors, textures, and patterns brings such interest to the images.  It is so easy to mix & match their pieces with each other too, which is one of the things I love most about MJC. 

For the release of their newest line, Serendipity, I wanted to create a really fun session for my friends & clients who purchased MJC from my trunk show!  I had the fabulous , Trisha Varney Photography Designer, create some super amazing set designs for this shoot!  We had a blast capturing all of our adorably sweet MJ models in this super-fun shoot!!!

Sweet 10 day old Baby S.... Palm Beach Newborn Photographer...

I absolutely LOVED working with the adorable Miss Scarlett.  She was such a great little sleeper for me & let me & my friend, Tammy Marie Photography, pose her however we wanted to!  Miss Scarlett's parents were so much fun too!  I loved that they brought fun things like a guitar & custom-made wood box to the session so we could incorporate them into the photos!

It was so much fun getting to see Miss A again.  I loved watching her grow last year & now she is 19 months old & cute as a button!  We had a great time exploring Palm Beach while capturing some fun new images for her family.  Here are a few of my favorites from  our session last week....

Totally LOVED meeting sweet 1 month old Mr. R last week for his newborn portraits!  He surprised everyone by showing up 2 months early... so after a few weeks in the NICU, he was ready for his close-up!  He is such a cutie & was such a good little sleeper for me!!!  THANKS so much to the S family for choosing me to capture this special time!  Enjoy this little sneak peek! :)
